Because of upgrades to the 60th Street Con Edison Steam Plant,Ā located at East 60th Street between York Avenue and the FDR Drive, there will be work affecting streets in the area between June 2019 and January 2020. Phase 1, which goes from June 18 to August 24, will affect East 60th Street between York Avenue and FDR Drive in the following ways: East 60th Street will be closed from Mondays to Saturdays (7:00 am to 7:00 pm) and there will be limited street parking in the area. Phase 2, which goes from August 25 to September 28, will affect East 59th and East 60th Streets between York Avenue and the FDR Drive in the following ways: East 59th Street will have intermittent closures, East 60th Street will be closed from Mondays to Saturdays (7:00 am to 7:00 pm), and there will be limited street parking in the area.
