Infrastructure upgrades to Kips Bay streets

Work on Second Avenue and surrounding areas has begun and will run until the summer of 2021.  Typical work hours will be from 7 AM to 4:30 PM and will install new curbs, catch basins, sewers, hydrants, and water mains. Additionally, the bicycle rack on 35th Street and 3rd Avenue has been temporarily removed as a result of the ongoing work (with a temporary station installed on Lexington Avenue and East 36th Street). Also note that the bus stops on 3rd Avenue between 32nd and 33rd Street as well as 3rd Avenue between 33rd and 34th Street have been removed temporarily starting in August; view the flyer on the temporary bus stop closure hereClick here to view the flyer released by the NYC Department of Design and Construction, click here to view the latest weekly construction bulletin, and click here to find the most recent newsletter on this project. (last updated November 18, 2019)
