The Health & Environment Committee meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM. Please check the calendar page each month for the location of the meeting and tentative agenda.
The Health & Environment Committee monitors and reviews issues that affect our community’s physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being. The committee also looks at environmental issues. Furthermore, the Committee develops community-based proposals to protect the health of our district’s residents.
The Committee coordinates with the City and State’s health and human services agencies, as well as with the district’s hospitals and senior centers. Additionally, the Committee organizes and leads informational events to ensure that the district is provided with accurate and reliable health information.
